This is a villa of the sort that once dotted the Italian countryside, built not for show, but for function, and now quietly fading. Its plan is a T-shape, rising three floors above ground with a cellar below. The load-bearing walls are of natural granite, solid and unpretentious, while the intermediate floors rely on metal ribs and concrete slabs, a pragmatic late-nineteenth or early-twentieth-century technique.

The ceilings, however, are in poor repair. Faint traces of painted decoration remain, ghostly evidence of former elegance. The floors, laid with decorative cement tiles (the classic cementine), are partly missing. What draws the eye is the cornice: a continuous band of friezes running the entire perimeter of the building, still intact enough to suggest the villa once had a certain pride. It is a structure caught between dignity and decay, worth seeing for what it still reveals of a past that preferred solidity to spectacle.
