Torre di San Giovanni

The Torre di San Giovanni is an ancient Aragonese tower in the borgata marina of the same name, a frazione of Posada. Its primary purpose was lookout and defence against enemy ships, particularly those of the Saracens and Barbary corsairs, which were frequent along this easily accessible stretch of coast.
