The Tempio di Venere is a Roman temple in Pompeii, buried by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD and uncovered during the city’s archaeological excavations. It was the sanctuary of the goddess Venus, Pompeii’s protective deity, and counted among the most sumptuous of the city’s sacred structures. Its remains, located in the southwestern sector of the site, offer a fragmentary but evocative glimpse of its former grandeur.
