South Etruria Survey area

The original and pioneering South Etruria Survey was led by J.B. Ward-Perkins of the British School at Rome from the 1950s to the 1970s. The initial focus was the territory of the city of Veii (Ager Veientanus). A revisiting of this survey area and the project's outcomes was part of the Tiber Valley Project led by Helen Patterson and initiated in 1997.
