At the hamlet of Margi, in the locality of Paraperi, stands the Santuario Mariano Diocesano Santa Maria delle Grazie. This is a Renaissance-era church, a style that in Italy often saw a harmonious balance of classical proportion and devotional function, designed to draw the eye upward and inward. The church was originally part of the lower Diocese of Tropea, serving as the parish for Laghitello, a settlement whose ecclesiastical history was shaped by Norman administrative reforms.

In 1982, the site was formally elevated to a diocesan Marian sanctuary. This designation was reaffirmed in 1988 during the Marian Year, and again in 1999, when the archbishop granted the faithful a partial indulgence. The principal feast is held on 8 September, when a statue of the Madonna is carried in procession through the surrounding countryside, preceded by a nine-day novena. A sanctuary of local pilgrimage and quiet Marian devotion, it remains a fixed point in the devotional landscape of this part of Calabria.
