On a hill above Bisignano stands the Santuario Diocesano Sant'Umile da Bisignano, a church also known as the "Riforma". It belongs to the parish of Santa Croce and remembers the figure of Sant'Umile (1582-1637), a local friar beatified by Leo XIII and later canonised by John Paul II. The church was declared a Diocesan Sanctuary in 1999.

The conventual complex was originally dedicated to the Holy Stigmata of Saint Francis. According to local tradition, its foundation is linked to the preaching of a Franciscan disciple who came to Calabria in the early thirteenth century, when the order was establishing its provinces across Italy. After a long restoration lasting thirteen years, the church was reopened in July 2023. The main feast day is 26 November, with additional celebrations in May, on the last Sunday of August, and a special feast of the Holy Crucifix held every twenty-five years in conjunction with the Jubilee Year.
