The Basilica of Saint Stephen in the Round on the Caelian Hill is an ancient titular church located on the Caelian Hill in Rome. Its earliest phase belongs to the reign of Pope Simplicius (468-483). The early martyr Saint Stephen was honored in the church's consecration. Its circular plan is highly unusual.
