Anfiteatro romano di Benevento

L'anfiteatro romano era un edificio monumentale della Benevento antica. Le fonti storiche suggeriscono che esistesse nell'anno 63, perché Nerone assistette ad uno spettacolo gladiatorio in città. I resti dell'edificio sono stati rinvenuti nel 1985 fra via Munazio Planco ed il ponte Leproso. Parte dell'edificio è interrata sotto i binari della ferrovia Benevento-Cancello.
