Palmavera Nuragic Site

The nuraghe Palmavera, an archaeological site in the territory of Alghero, Sardinia, is a complex nuraghe composed of several towers joined together. This structure and its surrounding village were built in phases during the Bronze Age and the Iron Age. The site offers insight into the Nuragic civilisation, with its distinctive beehive-like stone towers and defensive walls. The main tower, or central bastion, stands as a testament to the engineering of the period, while the remnants of circular huts nearby hint at daily life. It is a place where layers of history remain visible in the weathered stones.
