Palazzo Valentini

Rome's Palazzo Valentini was first built in 1585 on the site of a pre-existing palazzo located adjacent to what was then the piazza dei Santi Apostoli. The palazzo's foundations are entangled with various ancient remains, including perhaps architectural elements of the Forum of Trajan.
