This is a substantial town palazzo, built around a rectangular internal courtyard. The structure rises three storeys on the main street, though the ground floor, which serves as garages and cellars, becomes a semi-basement on the other sides. The walls are rendered stonework, with floors that are likely of iron beams. Above, the roof is of timber, pitched and clad in traditional clay tiles. The main facade is given dignity by a wide stone portal and balconies resting on iron corbels. Inside, there are eight residential units, along with four garages and a storeroom. It is a solid, unshowy piece of urban fabric, the kind of building that quietly defines a town’s character, practical, residential, and built to last.
