Palazzo Barberini Mithraeum

The Palazzo Barberini Mithraeum numbers among the best-preserved mithraic shrines in Rome. It is situated in via delle Quattro Fontane. Construction work revealed the site in 1936. A portion of the original structures of the second century CE was transformed into the mithraeum in the third century.
