Palazzetto con torre medievale

At the corner of a crossroads, this palazzetto and its medieval tower preside over a junction that still feels decisively medieval. It is part of a small urban ensemble, with a casa-torre opposite on Corso V. Emanuele and other buildings sharing similar stylistic traits. The street plan and built fabric remain in their original relationship, a clarity of medieval imprint that is increasingly rare.

The building rises over three main storeys. Its external facades are covered in smooth plaster up to the stringcourse of the first floor, then rougher plaster above. This change in texture marks a practical and visual division, typical of tower-houses where the lower portion was more finished, the upper more functional. The whole composition speaks not of isolated monumentality, but of a lived-in urban grain, where tower, palazzo, and street were conceived together, each shaping the other.
