Nuraghe Voes, in the territory of Nule, is one of the most imposing nuragic complexes in Sardinia. It sits at the centre of an area containing several other nuraghi, including the trilobate Nuraghe Launidde and the giant’s tomb of Isporo, both investigated by Antonio Taramelli in 1931. The other complex nuraghi here do not follow the trilobate pattern; examples include Appiu (Benetutti) and Costa. The single-tower Nuraghe Eddutta and the corridor-type protonuraghe Duscamine stand on the plateau at 720 metres above sea level, with traces of huts around them, probably once forming a village.
