Nuraghe Mannu

Nuraghe Mannu is a nuragic archaeological site on the east coast of Sardinia, set about 180 metres above sea level with a view over the village of Cala Gonone. It lies in the middle of the Gulf of Orosei, within the province of Nuoro and the municipality of Dorgali. This Bronze Age stone structure, typical of Sardinia’s ancient Nuragic civilisation, is partially visible from the coast below. From its summit, the nuraghe commands a clear panorama of the surrounding landscape, a strategic vantage point that once served both defensive and ceremonial purposes. The site offers a tangible link to the island’s pre-Roman past, its rugged form blending into the limestone cliffs that define this dramatic stretch of coastline.
