Nuraghe Elighe Onna

The Nuraghe Elighe Onna, also called Crasta, stands on a basalt ridge in the territory of Santu Lussurgiu, a few kilometres from the hamlet of San Leonardo de Siete Fuentes. This Sardinian site, a Bronze Age stone structure typical of the nuragic civilisation, commands a view over the surrounding landscape. Nearby are the church and springs that give the area its name, the latter known as the ‘seven sources’. The nuraghe itself, built from large basalt blocks, remains as a testament to the island’s prehistoric builders, its conical form still visible against the rugged terrain.
