Muggia

Muggia's beginnings as a prehistoric fortified village (castelliere) came ca. the eighth and seventh centuries B.C. This territory came under Roman control in the 170s BC. In 931, king Hugh of Italy donated Muggia to the Patriarch of Aquileia.
