Complesso prenuragico di Monte Baranta

The Complesso prenuragico di Monte Baranta is a significant archaeological area, dating from 2500 to 2200 BC. It stands in the Nurra region of north-west Sardinia, at a place called Su Casteddu, about two kilometres from the town of Olmedo. Perched at roughly 120 metres above sea level on the trachytic plateau of the eponymous mountain, it commands a view southwards over valleys and plains that stretch as far as the bay of Alghero.
