Lu Brandali Settlement

The nuragic complex of Lu Brandali, near Santa Teresa Gallura in Sardinia, is an archaeological site in the locality of Santa Reparata. It comprises a nuraghe with an outer defensive wall (antemurale), a village, a giants’ tomb, a series of ‘tafone’ tombs (carved into natural rock cavities), and several rock shelters. This Bronze Age settlement offers a compact but vivid glimpse into the island’s pre-Nuragic and Nuragic civilisations, its structures scattered across a granite landscape that once supported a thriving community. The site’s mix of domestic, defensive and funerary features makes it a particularly coherent example of Sardinia’s ancient megalithic culture.
