The so-called "Barco Borghese" is an archaeological site located in Monte Porzio Catone (Roma) in Italy. This multiperiod site began as a Roman terracing or substructure, perhaps originally meant to support a villa (basis villae). Subsequent modification and reuse converted the Roman structure into a "barco", an enclosure for animal hunts.
