Santuario di Hera (Tavole Palatine)

The Tavole Palatine are the remains of a 6th-century BC hexastyle peripteral Greek temple, part of Magna Graecia, dedicated to Hera and Apollo. Located near the Bradano river in southern Italy, this was a countryside sanctuary. Visible today are the temple’s foundations, some columns, and fragments of the temenos wall, along with traces of a very ancient altar. The site, known as the Sanctuary of Hera, offers a quiet, weathered glimpse into the ritual landscape of Greek colonists, its stones speaking more of time and abandonment than of any grand restoration.
