Dente e caserme del Rivellino del Forte di Exilles

A defensive outwork and barracks attached to the Forte di Exilles, in the upper Susa Valley. This is a modern-period fortress, part of a system of strongholds that controlled the Alpine passes between Italy and France. Such structures typically combined thick stone walls with carefully planned firing positions.
