Column of Trajan

The Column of Trajan (or Trajan's Column) is a victory column that was erected in the Forum of Trajan at Rome ca. 113 in order to commemorate Trajan's victories in the Dacian Wars. The column is particularly noted for its helical historiated bas relief frieze decoration.
