Atika’s radar picks up Coddu Vecchiu, a Nuragic funerary monument near Arzachena in northern Sardinia, dating from the Bronze Age. This is a ‘giant’s tomb’, one of the larger examples on the island, composed of a central stele, flanking stone megaliths and a long gallery grave. The structure gives a sense of the island’s mysterious prehistory, its builders the Nuragic people. The nearby Nuraghe La Prisgiona, another Nuragic site, completes the picture of this ancient landscape.
