Chulcul (river)

The ancient Chulcul river has been tentatively identified by scholars with the modern Oued Bou Zenna/Oued Zouara in Tunisia. This river and its environs were largely inundated by the construction of the Sidi El Barrak dam in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
