Chiesa di S. Maria del Rosario

The Chiesa di S. Maria del Rosario is a rectangular brick tower-church with a double-pitched roof of terracotta tiles. Its façade, sober and dignified, rises in two orders above a stone base. A central stone portal is topped by a plain frieze and a horizontal pediment, above which a noble coat of arms is set within a cartouche. In the upper register, a large arched window is framed in stone.

Inside, the single nave is covered by a barrel vault, the space divided into three bays by rectangular pillars faced with serpentine marble, their stone bases and Corinthian half-capitals lending a restrained elegance. Above each arch sits a keystone bearing another cartouche with a coat of arms. A wooden pulpit projects from one pillar; a wooden choir gallery sits over the entrance. The presbytery and high altar are raised, reached by a double staircase with wrought-iron railings. Beneath the altar, between the two flights, lies the crypt of the chapel.
