Castello di Vicalvi

The ruined castle of Vicalvi is an eleventh-century fortification that remained in use until the sixteenth century. The Medieval fortifications re-use elements of ancient, pre-Roman polygonal masonry architecture that is presumed to date to the fifth or fourth centuries BCE.
