Casa di Sant'Antonio

This three-storey building, rectangular in plan, is organised around a central courtyard surrounded by a quadriportico with groin vaults. On each floor, a corridor encircles the court, giving access to the various rooms. The corridors and service rooms are vaulted, while the main salon has a ribbed pavilion vault and the remaining floors have flat ceilings. A grand three-flight staircase with wrought-iron balustrade, also groin-vaulted, leads to the first floor. Regular rectangular windows light the rooms, and the courtyard façades are plastered and punctuated by these same large windows, though only those on the entrance front are decorated. The street façade is faced in plastered brick, divided into three horizontal bands of windows separated by mouldings. The lower two bands alternate between pedimented and arched window decorations; the top band is of exposed brick, with plain windows. The wooden entrance door, set eccentrically, is itself topped by an arched decorative surround. A small decorative terracotta band runs beneath the eaves.
