Basilica Ulpia

The Basilica Ulpia is located in the Forum of Trajan at Rome and derives its name from the emperor Trajan's gentilician nomenclature. The basilica was considered a marvel of ancient Roman architecture by observers, including the historian Ammianus Marcellinus.
