Arcus Dolabellae et Silani

Situated on the Caelian Hill, the Arcus Dolabellae et Silani sits at the northern corner of the Castra Peregrina. The gate dates to A.D. 10 and is likely a rebuilding of an earlier gate that was part of the so-called Servian Wall, perhaps the Porta Querquetulana (or Querquetularia) or the Porta Caelimontana.
