Acquedotto Storico di Genova

The Acquedotto Storico di Genova is an ancient water supply system that ran for centuries through the Bisagno valley, serving the city and its port. It begins in the municipality of Bargagli, in the upper valley, and passes entirely through the districts of Struppa, Molassana, Staglieno and the upper ring road in the Castelletto quarter. There it splits into two branches, which originally ended near the old port: one at the darsena, the other at the height of the ripa in Piazza Cavour, after feeding the large cistern in Piazza Sarzano.
