In the Volvi Municipality of northern Greece, the Vrasna fortifications preserve the layered traces of a mixed-era stronghold. Archaeological work between 1992 and 2003 brought to light a classical fortress at Trypiméni Pétra, whose defensive circuit was mapped and documented in 1993. Nearby rescue excavations at Kakia Skala revealed traces of ancient habitation, hinting at the lives that clustered around these walls. The site survives only partially today, yet it is recognized as a protected building, a quiet monument to the strategic importance of this landscape across the centuries.
