The Monastery of Pantanassa, whose name means Queen of All, is a Byzantine foundation set in the rugged landscape of Phocis. Like many monastic communities of its era, it was built in a remote setting suited to contemplation and defence, and it holds the quiet gravity of a place that has held worship across centuries. Though little of its original form is visible today, the site carries the memory of a long religious life in this mountainous corner of Greece.
